Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking soda

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups North Coast Organic Apple Sauce

1 cup vegetable or avocado oil

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 cup cream or full-fat coconut milk

4 ounces milk chocolate pieces

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350*F. Lightly grease an 8-inch springform baking pan.

Add the flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt to a bowl and combine.

In a separate bowl add the apple sauce, oil and vanilla and combine. Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir to combine.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let cool.

While the cakes cools, add the coconut milk to a sauce pan and heat over medium-high heat until it just starts to boil. Add the chocolate pieces to a bowl and pour the coconut milk over the chocolate. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes to melt the chocolate and stir until it is smooth.

Once the cake is cool, drizzle the chocolate ganache over top and let it run down the sides on the cake.  Let the ganache cool and harden slightly prior to serving, Learn More with North Coast Organic.
