 Ingredients:

For Caramel:

1 cup North Coast apple cider or juice

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup milk or cream

1 Tbsp. butter

Pinch of salt

For Punch:

1 1/2 cup North Coast apple cider or juice

1 shot of dark spiced rum

1 shot of Grand Marnier

Sparkling water

Directions:

Chill glasses in freezer 30 minutes prior to mixing.

To make caramel boil down apple cider on medium heat for 10-15 minutes gently whisking. (apple cider should reduce down to about 1/3 cup). Add sugar, milk and butter to apple cider and bring to a boil. Continue to whisk until thick, approximately 5-10 minutes. Let caramel cool for 15 minutes. Once cooled, spoon a bit of caramel around rim of glass. It will harden slightly on chilled glass. Combine apple cider, rum, Grand Marnier, 1 tsp. of apple caramel and ice to a shaker. Shake well and pour into caramel rimmed glass. Serve with additional ice if desired.
