The first mention of an apple fritter can be dated back to a recipe in England in 1390. With it’s sweet apple cinnamon center and delicious outer crunch, it’s no wonder it’s stayed a staple for so many centuries! This apple sauce fritter recipe is made with North Coast unsweetened apple sauce, but feel free to shake it up a bit with one of our other apple sauce varieties.
